Frequently Asked Questions
How do you know what a client wants or needs before scoping and starting a project.
Client input is the foundation upon which successful websites are designed and built. I ask clients to complete a detailed survey to help them articulate and identify the overall goals and design of their new website. The survey includes specific questions regarding message, audience, content, look and feel, and functionality.
What’s your design process and how much do you involve clients?
I always have an initial consult meeting to clarify client wants and needs identified in their client survey. I then draw up a preliminary design and send them a draft for review. During the design process, I send updates to keep them informed. I send them the finished product for final review and, if they want any updates, we discuss what needs to be changed, timeframe and other logistics.
What have been your key responsibilities as a web designer?
For thirty years, I've been responsible for creating visually attractive and effective front-end designs. I also help with back-end design to ensure the websites are user-friendly and meet client goals. Working on both ends increases my knowledge of the fundamentals required to enhance the online experience for both mobile and web users.
